Walmart Helps Stock Pantry

On Feb. 24, Walmart employees filled We Care’s pantry. The Walmart foundation donated $1,000 to the food pantry, and store employees volunteered to help unload more than 5,431 pounds of food that was ordered from Northern Illinois Food Bank. “It fits right in with what Walmart believes,” said Carmen Garcia, the store manager at the Morris Walmart. We Care receives a monthly delivery of food for the pantry from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
